The terms for using Boklot

These terms explain the responsibilities of Boklot, service providers, and customers when using our booking platform.

A booking platform for independent businesses

Boklot gives providers tools to manage appointments and gives customers a convenient way to request and manage bookings. The provider remains responsible for the service itself.

1. Accepting these terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Boklot, including provider dashboards, public booking pages, appointment tools, emails, SMS reminders, and related services.
By creating an account, publishing a booking page, making a booking, or otherwise using Boklot, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be legally able to enter into these terms. If you use Boklot for a business or organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these terms.

2. Boklot's role

Boklot provides software that helps independent service providers publish services, manage availability, accept bookings, maintain customer records, and communicate appointment updates.
Providers, not Boklot, supply the services shown on their booking pages. A booking creates an arrangement between the provider and the customer, and Boklot is not a party to that arrangement or responsible for performing the booked service.
Providers are independent businesses. Boklot does not employ, endorse, supervise, or guarantee any provider or customer.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping passwords, sign-in links, one-time codes, and account access secure.
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may ask you to verify your identity before restoring access or acting on an account request.
You may not share an account in a way that defeats access controls or use another person's account without permission.

4. Provider responsibilities

Providers are responsible for the accuracy of their business information, services, prices, coupons, availability, addresses, cancellation rules, and other content displayed through Boklot.
Providers are responsible for delivering booked services, communicating material changes, resolving appointment disputes, and maintaining any licenses, insurance, registrations, tax records, or permissions their work requires.
Providers must handle customer information lawfully and only use it for legitimate business and appointment purposes. They must obtain any consent required before entering customer details or enabling communications on a customer's behalf.

5. Customer bookings

Customers must provide accurate contact and appointment information, review booking details before confirming, and follow reasonable provider policies disclosed on the booking page or communicated directly.
Availability, service descriptions, prices, discounts, locations, and cancellation terms are supplied by the provider. Questions or disputes about an appointment or the service received should be raised with that provider.
A booking is not guaranteed until it is successfully created and confirmed. Providers may need to cancel or reschedule appointments, and Boklot cannot guarantee that a provider will complete a booking.

6. Prices, coupons, and payments

Prices and coupon discounts displayed during booking are provided by the business and recorded for appointment-management purposes. Providers are responsible for honoring valid confirmed pricing, subject to any correction agreed with the customer.
Boklot does not currently collect payment for customer appointments. Unless a booking page clearly states otherwise, providers and customers arrange payment directly, and the provider is responsible for receipts, refunds, taxes, charge disputes, and payment compliance.
If Boklot introduces paid plans or optional paid features, the applicable price, billing period, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be shown before purchase.

7. Communications

Boklot may send transactional messages needed to operate the service, such as verification, security, booking confirmation, cancellation, rescheduling, reminder, and account notices.
Appointment SMS reminders are optional and are sent only when the relevant consent is recorded. Message and data rates may apply, and delivery is not guaranteed because mobile carriers and third-party services are outside Boklot's control.
You are responsible for keeping contact details accurate. Declining optional SMS reminders does not prevent essential booking or security emails.

8. Your content and data

You retain ownership of information and content you submit to Boklot. You give Boklot a limited, worldwide right to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit content, including business logos, descriptions, customer details, notes, and addresses, and that the content does not violate another person's rights or applicable law.
Our handling of personal information is described in the Boklot Privacy Policy.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use Boklot for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, discriminatory, or harmful activity, or to offer services that are illegal where they are provided.
You may not upload malicious code, probe or bypass security, interfere with the service, send spam, scrape the platform at unreasonable volume, impersonate another person, or collect information without appropriate permission.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or exploit Boklot except where applicable law expressly permits it.

10. Boklot intellectual property

Boklot and its licensors own the platform, software, design, branding, documentation, and other materials we provide, excluding content submitted by users.
These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Boklot for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Boklot intellectual property to you.
Feedback may be used to improve Boklot without restriction or payment, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.

11. Third-party services

Boklot relies on third-party services for functions such as hosting, authentication, storage, email, and SMS delivery. Their availability and performance may affect Boklot.
Links to external websites and a provider's use of third-party tools are offered for convenience. Boklot does not control and is not responsible for third-party products, content, terms, or privacy practices.

12. Availability and changes

We work to keep Boklot available and reliable, but the service may occasionally be interrupted, delayed, changed, or unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue features. Where a change materially affects users, we will provide reasonable notice when practical.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Boklot at any time. Providers can deactivate their public booking page or permanently delete their account using the available account controls.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect Boklot or its users, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, address security risks, or respond to a material breach of these terms.
Terms that by their nature should continue after termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and responsibility for prior activity, will remain in effect.

14. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Boklot is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties that every feature, provider, customer, booking, message, or result will meet your expectations.
Boklot is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, timing, cancellation, non-performance, injury, loss, or dispute arising from services arranged between providers and customers.
To the extent permitted by law, Boklot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, loss of profits or data, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Boklot changes or as legal and operational requirements evolve. The revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
If a change is material, we may provide additional notice. Continuing to use Boklot after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
