How Boklot handles personal information
This Privacy Policy explains what information Boklot collects, how it is used, and the choices available to providers and customers using our booking platform.
Effective date: August 13, 2026
Who we are
Boklot provides booking software for independent service providers. Providers use Boklot to publish booking pages, manage services and availability, accept customer bookings, and communicate appointment updates.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, password credentials, email verification status, and account timestamps.
- Business profile information: business name, public booking link, category, bio, address, phone numbers, public email, website, logo, social profile, services, prices, locations, availability, booking rules, and publishing settings.
- Booking and client information: customer name, email, phone number, appointment time, selected service, booking reference, status, notes, service address for home visits, SMS reminder consent and delivery identifiers, and manage-booking tokens.
- Technical information: basic log data such as IP address, browser details, device information, pages requested, error logs, and authentication/session data needed to keep the service working.
2. How we use information
- To create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, authenticate users, and provide password reset flows.
- To publish provider booking pages, display services and availability, create bookings, send confirmations, support cancellations and rescheduling, and maintain client records for providers.
- To send transactional emails and consented appointment reminder SMS messages, service notices, onboarding messages, support replies, and important account or security updates.
- To monitor reliability, prevent abuse, investigate errors, improve product experience, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Public booking pages
- Providers choose what business information is displayed publicly, including business name, category, services, prices, availability, logo, bio, public contact details, and address visibility.
- Customers should avoid adding sensitive personal information to booking notes unless it is necessary for the appointment.
6. Data retention
- We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records for providers, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or operational requirements.
- Providers can update business settings and service information from the dashboard. Certain booking, client, token, and log records may be retained where needed for security, audit, or legal reasons.
7. Your choices and rights
- You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information, subject to identity verification and legal or operational limits.
- Providers are responsible for responding to customer privacy requests about booking and client data they control through Boklot.
- You may unsubscribe from non-essential product updates where available. Transactional and security emails may still be sent. Appointment SMS reminders are sent only when consent is recorded for that booking.
8. Security
- We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections where supported, secure password handling, and limited access to production systems.
- No online service can guarantee complete security. Users should keep account credentials private and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
9. International use
- Boklot may process and store information in countries different from where users or customers are located. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
- We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
